How I got Started
In my quest for a new experience that didn't involve vigorous physical exertion, I found solace in the practice of yoga. Time seemed to effortlessly slip away during my yoga sessions, and the inherent tranquility and meditative essence of the practice resonated with me profoundly, compelling me to return consistently.
Becoming 500 Hour Certified
This deepened connection prompted my desire to delve further into the art, leading me towards the path of teaching. The seamless alignment of opportunities provided by YogaFit played a pivotal role in this journey.
The Country Yoga Studio
While I have explored various yoga studios, a persistent dream of cultivating my own tranquil and serene space has always lingered within me. In 2017, an opportunity unfolded, inviting us to establish a studio on our farmstead. This idyllic space now stands as the nurturing home for Country Yoga, embodying the serene sanctuary I had always envisioned.
Training Background
Janel is an RN and is a certified 500 hour RYT yoga instructor through YogaFit, where she has spent 140 hours practicing and learning about Trauma Sensitive Yoga. She also has certifications in Yin and Wall Lyenda yoga.
